Luca Quinn- Week 31

31 weeks old

Luca is 31 weeks old, and I am slacking on my posts haha. We’ve mostly just been hanging at home and the beach these past few weeks.
This past weekend, just Luca and I went for a hike in Julian. It was fun getting to explore a different part of California, and Luca was the perfect companion! He is always happy to go with the flow.

Eating

Luca is still doing great with pureed solids. We’re amping this up, hoping to get his weight to pick back up. Luca also still nurses 5x a day. I’m still dreamfeeding him, though I doubt he even needs it. We just like being able to bring him into our room when we go to sleep! I’m really trying to hold onto him being a baby haha.

Sleep

Not much has changed here. Luca sleeps wonderfully at night, and his naps are still finicky, unless we’re on the go. On days he has therapy, he usually naps hard!

Waketime

Luca is still an incredibly happy baby. He is very quiet and loves to watch his siblings play and munch on toys. He is working really hard in all of this therapies. He’s starting to be able to sit up (which is so so awesome!), but still has zero interest in rolling over on his own and hates when we make him practice! He’s working on holding more than one object and we’re working to teach him that toys can be used for other things besides mouthing. Luca is working so hard, and we’re so proud of him! It’s sometimes tough to watch him struggle through what usually comes naturally for babies, but I’m grateful for the help and for his sweet little never-giving up attitude about it all.

Luca is such a joy!

Practicing rolling!
Working on holding two objects at the same time!
