Tot School- April 2017 (3 Years, 5 Months)

Here are our Tot School plans for April!

Just a reminder that  we're using these literacy and math curriculum bundles and will be following these directly, so I have not outlined any of the details in my plans, just noted which lesson we're doing or which concept we're focusing on.

Also, these plans are geared towards children ages 3-4. If you are interested in younger activities, you can check out this April post for around 1.5, and this post for around age 2.5!  I'm sure I'll be pulling old ideas from those posts for Fynn to join us some too!

Present the puzzle pieces to your toddler and invite them to decorate their kite! They can make a kite all one color or various colors! This seems simple, but it is difficult for them to be able to place the correct sized triangle in the corresponding place. This will help with problem solving skills. You can even have fun challenges in order to promote color recognition. "Can you make a purple kite? How about a purple and yellow kite?" Have fun decorating your kite over and over in different ways!

    • Use white gerber daisies to experiment and see how colored water can change the color of the flowers.
