Alynne Tiffany- Week 28

28 weeks old

Miss Alynne Tiffany is 28 weeks today!  Last weekend was my first overnight away from Aly!  I went on a church women’s retreat for two nights while Ron took care of the Gator.  It was a really refreshing time for me, and while Aly may have rocked some crazy hair all weekend, I know she and Papi had a blast together!  I love seeing Ron interact with Aly, it’s probably one of my favorite things. She just lights up whenever she sees him and loves all of his tickle attacks =]
Alynne’s two besties both returned from Europe this weekend too, so we’ve been able to resume our usual romping around with baby friends!  I love living in community with such wonderful people.
Also, on Monday we took Alynne to the Bronx Zoo. She was pretty indifferent to it all, but we still had a great time!

Feeding
This week Aly tried acorn squash, cauliflower, and asparagus.  She wasn’t too fond of the asparagus, but seems to love any kind of squash!  Also, we’re still on a 3 hour schedule with milk feedings. Would love to extend that, but just doesn’t seem to be happening yet!

Sleeping
I think every other day I say how thankful I am that we did sleep training with Aly.  Though it was really hard, we have an amazing sleeper now.  She puts herself to sleep with no fussing and doesn’t wake at all!  On the flip side, she is now to the point where she won't even nap in her stroller anymore.  So she literally won't sleep unless she's in her crib! Can't have it all I suppose!

Wake Time
Aly loves to balance things on her feet.  She will lie on her back, stick her legs straight up, and then place a toy on her feet to balance.  It is pretty funny to watch.
She is also scooting all over the place.  Tonight she actually got up on all fours and started rocking, so we will have a crawler soon I’m thinking!
Alynne also started to say “mama” this week.  Okay, so I know that it’s just her babbling and making sounds, but ohhh what glorious sounds indeed!

Favorites
Book: Este Cerdito (this book actually elicits laughs from her now!)
Song: Itsy Bitsy Spider
Toy: Toy keys and ball

Here's some of this week's favorite pics!
