Luca Quinn- Week 16

I’ve missed a few weeks, but Luca is 16 weeks old now! A lot has happened in the last three weeks. For starters, we went back to NYC to pack up our home and put it on a moving truck cross-country! Ron and I took just Luca with us, as I am still nursing him around the clock. Luca only spent two months of his life NYC, which is just crazy. But it was good to take him back one last time. We ended the trip by taking him to visit his big brother Roman’s memorial for the first time. (If you missed it, you can read my Goodbye NYC post for lots and lots of memories over the past decade!)

We are currently wrapping up our time in OKC. The next weekly blog post on Little Luca will come from our new home in San Diego! We will officially have a little Cali baby on our hands!

Eat

Luca is an eating machine. He nurses 8 times a day still. He’s still never had a bottle, and with us self-quaranting through all of this, I doubt he will ever have one!

Sleep

Well…This little guy is officially my worst nighttime sleeper, as all of the others were sleeping through the night at this point! But that’s okay. He still is so so good. He wakes 3 times at night to eat and then goes right back down. His naps have also gotten so much better. He takes two 2 hour naps, and then a 45 minute cat nap in the evening. He still loves being swaddled and doesn’t seem to be in a hurry at all to get rid of it!

Wake

Oh how I love this smiley little guy! He reminds me so much of Fynn, who also was the smiliest little baby. Luca gives us the biggest grins all the time now. Last night, I even got him to laugh for the first time! Ron has been trying so hard to make that happen, and he finally did for me ;)
Luca is tolerating tummy time more, especially if he can do it laying on our legs or chests.
He also really loves to be held by Aly & Fynn!
He doesn’t care much for the pacifier, but he really really loves to munch on his fists!
