Tot School- December 2014 (1 Year, 1 Month Old)

We had a lot of fun with this month's tot school! See my added notes and photos below =]

As usual, I took most of this from my friend Candace's blog and then added my own spin on things!

Christmas songs galore =D

We changed out our usual Barney pandora for a Christmas station this month, and we had a blast singing Christmas songs all month long!

Math Tuesdays
-Sort red and green bows

We never got around to this, simply because I never purchased the bows!

Art Wednesdays
-Foam candy cane ornament (cut candy cane shape, and let her finger paint with white paint)
-Pine needle painting (use pine needle as brush to paint this handout red)
-Do-a-dot art (or maybe just finger paint) J is for Jesus printout
-Peppermint playdough

We did the do-a-dot art page.  She was able to make a couple of dots, but then ditched the marker and went to finger painting! I think it is definitely a skill still to come.  We never did the playdough.  I think I was hesitant to make it since the last time I made it, it was such an involved and messy process lol. We also added a Christmas tree footprint art project.  She loved sticking her toes in the paint!

Science/Sensory Thursdays
-Advent Christmas felt Christmas tree (add an ornament a day, Thanks Crystal for the idea!)
-Red bath
-Red stocking sensory (search around the house and fill stocking with red items)
-Tinsel sensory bin

Sensory projects are definitely our favorite right now.  Alynne loved the felt Christmas tree, and she enjoyed pulling the trunk off of it every day!  We did a peppermint bath instead of a red bath.  And the sensory bins were a huge hit!  She loved putting things in and taking things out of her stocking.  She also loved the jingle bells, but didn't really care for the tinsel, it mostly just got in her way!
